I was just reading last night, a paper published in 2007... they thought the best way to sequester CO2, was to cut down forests and bury them entire, at the cost of about $200 billion a year.
I see their thinking- cut down existing forests, and the new ones will soak up CO2 as they grow to replace them... and then cut Those down, also.
But it doesn't make a lot of sense otherwise, does it?
